“Beautifully presented and spotlessly clean dog-friendly accommodation”

The house is on a quiet residential estate a short walk from the centre of Filey.

The accommodation is spotless and decorated and furnished to a high standard.

There are extras left for guests such as a bottle of wine, crisps and even treats for the dog which was an unexpected but nice touch!

Specifically Recommend:

Decorated, furnished and cleaned to a high standard.

Be Aware:

It is a good 10 minute walk to the town centre or beach and further to the dog-friendly beach, (Please see Owners’ Reply at foot of review) so may not be ideal for the less able-bodied, unless you have transport.

Owner’s Reply:

’’Unfortunately dogs are not permitted on the main stretch of beach during the summer season, but dogs are allowed along the Primrose Valley Sands area on the other end of the beach but there is lots of open grassland along the country park estate overlooking the bay of Filey which is on the same area as Willow Cottage’’ - Gordon & Rachel

“Most well equipped, clean, well maintained property we have ever stayed in, in over 30 years. Excellent!”

Beautiful house which was well equipped and spotlessly clean. Added touches such as welcome hamper, cookies, coffee pods and personal message written on board in kitchen to welcome us.

Do not let the fact that the cottage is on a housing estate put you off ...... it was very, very quiet and within easy access of all facilities.

We wanted for nothing and Gordon, on welcoming us in a very friendly manner, ensured that we had everything we needed and to not hesitate in contacting him if we needed anything extra.

Excellent accommodation guide provided which included instructions for all electrical goods and handy list of useful phone numbers, also bus timetables and places to go. A real home-from-home

Thank you Gordon and Rachel, we will definitely recommend you to everyone we know, and we hope to return soon. Good luck for the future.

Summary:

“EXCELLENT”

We had a fantastic holiday at 23 Willow Cottage. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the owner to show us everything and how things worked (they seemed to have thought of everything).

The accomodation is clean, modern abd beautifully furnished. The location for us was perfect as we had a dog and wanted to take her on long walks - literally across one road and we were out in the countryside. The owners also provided towels to dry off the dog if the dog got wet or dirty.

The garden was a good size, and it had a gas barbeque, table, chairs and parasol. Overall, we had a perfect holiday.

Clean, modern, tastefully decorated.
Has all mod-cons
