“Love Kernow - Cornwall”
Very welcoming - everything you may need is catered for - clean, warm and cosy throughout.
A lovely, relaxing stay - exellently situated for Newquay and Padstow. We also visited Port Isaac, home of Doc Martin - exciting as filming was in progress.
There are lots of places to visit within easy reach in a day, not to forget lovely walks and Porth Beach nearby.
Watergate Bay is close to walk to, The Hotel there is great for a posh coffee!
Local Gems:Newquay fishing Harbour, great little cafe before you walk down

“Just perfect in every way!”
I am so pleased my family and I chose to stay at Stable Cottage. The Cottage has been fitted out with everything you need for a short break away. It is quite roomy, yet has been furnished tastefully, so feels cosy and warm. It was clear extra thought had been given to the minor details including a selection of magazines, DVDs and music collection for guests to use.
We had our 18 month old son with us and the cottage came equipped with a high chair and portacot. This was great as it meant less for us to bring with us! Being self contained, we were also able to cook using the kitchen facilities. This was another big plus for us, as eating out every night adds hundreds to the holiday budget!
Cleanliness was top notch also it is obvious someone takes great care maintaining it to a high standard. The location is fabulous only a stone’s throw from Porth Beach. We based ourselves at the cottage and would venture out exploring the surrounding areas during the day. Heading back to the cottage of an evening was a pleasure!
I would highly recommend Stable Cottage to anyone, in fact, my family intend to visit on our recommendation later in the year!
As I mentioned above, the location is really great.
I would describe the cottage as being comprehensive. It had everything we needed from the kitchen utensils through to the facilities for our toddler to stay comfortably.
Thank you so much Stable Cottage
Too many to list.... every drive in Cornwall reveals somewhere beautiful!
En Route:Kilmington has a lovely family-owned cafe-restaurant just off the main road that will do up a lovely meal at a decent price. Wonderful service is always a plus too.

“Excellent value for money, with every home comfort taken care of”
As regular visitors to this area we thought the cottage was excellent value for money and suited us for touring most of the tourist hotspots.
Close enough to Newquay to enjoy all the attractions such as the fantastic beaches and shops, while far enough out of town to avoid the hustle and bustle of the nightlife.
The cottage was fully equipped with everything we needed, as described, and was comfortably furnished. Cottage contains games, very handy bird and wild flower books, novels and CDs for guests.
A travel cot for babies and even a couple of surf boards for children. Countryside views fabulous.
Close to the coastal path and beach at Porth, which is ideal for families. Cafe, pub, public toilets and car parking right on the beach.
Near to the Eden Project and other famous attractions
Only a few pounds dearer than a caravan at a nearby site, so great value
No mobile ’phone signal - quite normal throughout Cornwall - but no public telephone either, for use in an emergency. A pay ’phone or directions to nearest phone would have been useful
PLEASE NOTE.....See Owner’s Reply at foot of review
Porth Beach is beautiful, quiet, all faciities on hand, super-soft sand, a shallow stream for the kids and surf for the older ones. You can even park your car right on the sand
En Route:We came from Kent via the A303 and saw Stonehenge. Plenty of roadside catering facilities and about the same travelling time as using the M4-M5 route.
Owner’s Reply:Please note that users of the O2 mobile phone network may well get a signal here, but if not there is a payphone just down the road at Trevelgue Campsite.
