Summary:

“Super lodge for a relaxing, comfortable stay!”

Cannot rate this lodge highly enough! It was so comfortable and homely with everything you could possibly need for your stay.

This lodge is so well equipped from cutlery and outdoor picnicware through to the lovely comfortable beds and pillows we slept on.

The location of the lodge in Limefitt Park is fantastic also, situated at the rear backing onto the trees and a mecca for the badgers, squirrels and the rest of the wildlife there! It is off the main access road and at the top of a cul-de-sac and so quiet of an evening.

It was a real pleasure to return to after a day of sightseeing and both ourselves, five year old son and the dog were sad to leave.

We really hope to return here either later this year or at some point in 2014.

Specifically Recommend:

This lodge has a wonderful homely feel and is located in a fantastic spot within Limefitt Park.

Local Gems:

Fantastic food at the Mortal Man Inn minutes away!

For anyone with children Brockhole Visitor Centre is a must, lots to do, free entry, caf and park.

Summary:

“Rowan Lodge - amazing lodge, cute, cosy, homely, a must!”

Limefitt Park is a dream from the moment you drive in. The reception staff are very very friendly and helpful and give you all the information and assistance and food you need. Everything is so easy and as we got to our lodge we were not disappointed.

The lodge was amazing, it looked great and when we entered the lodge we were gob smacked. It felt lovely with a great atmosphere and tidy appearance. We were at home immediately. Rowan Lodge was so quaint! The kitchen was very well equipped and we did cook a few times!!! The bedrooms were very comfortable and we slept so easily and cosy.

Even though it was cold outside, the lodge was always warm and we loved just relaxing in and around it. The nature around the lodge was a true shock and we loved it. All in all I would definitely come back to this lodge and it would suit a family, a couple or even on your own.

Specifically Recommend:

Watch out for the wildlife. Great!!!

Local Gems:

Mortal Man folk night

En Route:

Windermere, Bowness and Ambleside and great to visit
