“Go once...and you will have to go again. Heaven on earth.”
We wanted R&R away from the hustle and bustle of life and got it, and then some. Idyllic location. Scones on arrival. Beautiful countryside. Chocolate box cottage.
Boating-swimming lake which we didn’t go in but the hot tub was awesome - has to be seen to be believed. This place is a bit of heaven on earth and Linda and Lawrence have paid every attention to detail.
So sad to leave and re-enter the real world. Can’t wait to return. Idyllic.THANK YOU x

“A really enjoyable holiday with lots to see and do for all ages”
A well equipped cottage, very welcoming and very comfortable. A home-from-home
The lounge has three- & two-seater sofas, coffee table with TV, full Sky package and Wi-fi. The conservatory has two sofas and a chest full of toys and games, loads of DVDs to suit the whole family. An excellent sound system.
The kitchen is well equipped and the use of space well thought out and although it only has a refrigerator and ice box, there is an added freezer in the games room for all to use.
Upstairs there are two good size bedrooms, one with a king-size sleigh bed, TV and again full Sky package in both and en-suite washroom. The other bedroom has twin beds that can be put together to make a superking size bed, plus a washbasin.
Lawrence & Linda have made the cottages beautiful - good furnishings etc - but what did surprise us was the games room.... a pool table and a sauna, plus every size of wellington you would need all there included in the price.
The lake with kayaks and life jackets - children will be in seventh heaven
Nothing - they will do anything they can to help and assist you. They are marvellous
Local Gems:Lovely meal at the Grouse Inn, Carrog.
We visited Portmeirion but beware if you go on the beach... be back on the walkway 2 hours before high tide and the quick-sand near the steps there.
There are lots of villages with a lot of quaint little shops well worth a visit
We travelled from Castleford to Glan Yr Afon we took a packed lunch with us but there are buttie vans, Burger King etc en route

“Wonderful”
The cottage was extremely comfortable and ideal for the four of us. We were snowed-in for four days and were well looked after by the family. Even with thick snow all around us, the cottage was very warm, including the conservatory, which we used most of the time.
The views were lovely, again because of the snow. We walked as far as we could - it was hard going - and as we have already booked again for next New Year, we hope to be able to walk a lot further!
The cottage is very child-friendly and would be ideal for a family of four or five. A very safe place for the children to play, with a secure garden for smaller children. We would recommend it to anyone - and already have!
The very warm welcome and comfortable accommodation with great views.
Local Gems:As we were unable to get out because of the snow, we just walked in the snow as far as we could!
En Route:We travelled from Cheshire and would recommend The Corn Mill in Llangollen for lunch.
